I believe the Navy’s NPS DL graduate certificate program is underutilized. Many are afraid of incurring additional required service time but for 12-month certificate programs, the additional service is a 1-year requirement, which is completed concurrently, the moment of completion.

The ideal scenario in my mind is being a Junior Officer who recently arrived at their duty station, with minimal personal obligations and a fresh academic brain since they recently graduated. They would have no problem earning a certificate and gaining valuable skills.
