Resonating Quote: “Think of many things. Do one.” I am making a conscious effort to become a single tasker and focus energy on one task at a time with short aggressive timelines. For example, I set a 30-minute time limit on this post.

I have not set aside time weekly to write. To counter this, I have added it to my calendar. I am making this a weekly priority because it will help hone my thoughts and document my transition process. I found this video helpful in my pursuit.

Transition Update

Lessons Learned this week:

  • Nothing is handed to you, not even skillbridge.
  • Continue growing, seek companies who value education and personal development.
  • Be concise and listen
  • Every state has different Veteran benefits, ensure you look into each state you’re interested in moving into.
  • Put Pride aside when it comes to the Medical process
  • VA Loan is the best deal ever
  • Civilian life is a ‘choose your own adventure’ compared to the military’s prescription of career path.
  • Company Values I appreciate:
    • Education, personal development Growth
    • Strong Purpose or vision
    • Apply to various companies and interview with them all to continue gaining interview experience, so you’re well experienced in interviewing.

  • Attended ACP – Know Your Worth Presentation
    • Lots of good info, but one key point I took away is to look at jobs and whenever a job responsiblity excites you, save it to trend which roles you value.
